These are the sketches:

This drawing is a paradox. It has elements that go against each other, yet they create beauty because of that.
My huge concept was to give obvious contrast, since I was able to identify the difference clearly. I used red and blue for contrast. The color red symbolizes activity, fire, energy, enthusiasm, ambition, and power. This is why I used red to represent the version of myself on the left. On the other hand, blue is commonly associated with feelings of depression and tranquility. It represents the “blue me” as a quiet, depressed, and hopeless girl. Furthermore, I used a dark cloud background on the right side to depict a sense of concern, with myself on the left side looking at it. Behind th left me, there is a vibrant rainbow. Rainbow representing joyness and drak clouds representing. darkness inside me, they give another contrast in this piece.
If we look at their clothes, the red me is wearing a uniform, wearing makeup, and having a straight posture, which is myself that I want everyone to see. Organized, smart, clean, stylish, and polite is the image that I get from the ‘Red me’. However, the ‘Blue me’ is in baggy and unwashed clothes, wearing glasses, and having a bad, informal posture. These two whole different image over the contrast explained previously, gets highlighted even further.
Putting all that behind, the first thing that will catch your eyes will be their direction of eyes. At first glance, we can figure out that blue is closing her eyes while red is looking at blue. Blue is trying to avoid from red – reality that I am in. It needs to get out of this chaos and issues flowing into her, and finds peace while closing her eyes as we can see the smile on her face. While red, being concenerd and at the same time being envy of the other half of her, can’t stop staring at blue.
Although Red does not want to show others her Blue parts, since they are the same person, they cannot fully hide them. Around Red’s face, which is the part of the human body where most emotions are shown, there are blue glitches and it’s the same for Blue. It gets Red glitches even if she does not want to think about the other myself. They cannot fall apart, at least they should not, and the only link that exists between them is their hands, holding onto each other. This is a paradox. They both have to be and need each other at whatever cost, yet they envy or hate each other. Emotions towards the other are definitely not positive nor encouraging.
The final piece will be finished as a digital artwork, using procreate.
